The mission of Birmingham Youth Assistance is the prevention and reduction of juvenile delinquency, child abuse and child neglect, by providing positive alternatives to children and families who live within the boundaries of the Birmingham School District.

BYA is a partnership of: the Oakland County Circuit Court – Family Division; the City of Birmingham and the Villages of Beverly Hills, Bingham Farms and Franklin; Birmingham Public Schools; and community volunteers.
