The mission of Birmingham Youth Assistance is the prevention and reduction of juvenile delinquency, child abuse and child neglect, by providing positive alternatives to children and families who live within the boundaries of the Birmingham School District.

BYA is a partnership of: the Oakland County Circuit Court – Family Division; the City of Birmingham and the Villages of Beverly Hills, Bingham Farms and Franklin; Birmingham Public Schools; and community volunteers.

  • Smallest
  • Best Trick

  • Best Costume
  • Best looking
  • Most Personality

Who can participate??? Any child between the ages of 4-14 that attends a public or private school within the Birmingham Public School District.  Simply print off the registration form and mail it to the BYA office with payment.  All entrants must be pre-registered.  NO registration at the door.

30th Kids' Annual Dog Show

Our 30th Annual Kids' Dog Show at Berkshire Middle School was a smashing success!
We had over 100 dogs and kids participate.

This year's First Place winners were:
Best Costume: Keegan and Hudson Kosiba & Dudley (Great Pyrenees)
Best Behaved: G.G. Fill & Sabine (Sheltie)
Best Trick: Camilla Baldini & Maizy (Labradoodle)
Most Personality: Shaye Golden & Roxy (English Bulldog)
Smallest: Sophia Stanton & Franki (Teacup maltese)
Largest: Merrill Baughman & Mortimer (English Mastiff)
Best Looking: Claire Walton & Clover (Irish Setter)

Best of Show: Sophia Stanton & Franki
